Each summer we bring over 500 students and talented, passionate people to work at our camps. General camp counselors are invaluable staff members who spend most of the day with one group of boys or girls.
Camp counselors are role models who assist and motivate children, whether they are trying to learn a new skill, or they have concerns about an issue or idea. Throughout the day general counselors monitor and participate in the group’s activities and do everything in their power to make each of their campers’ summer the most memorable yet. General Camp Counselors should enjoy working with children, have a high level of patience, a solid work ethic, and be open minded and fun!
Our camps offer a wide variety of athletics including basketball, flag football, soccer, tennis, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball and more! Generally, athletics are taught by specialty coaches who are proficient in an individual sport. They organize and implement instruction and coach our campers.
While some of our campers are accomplished athletes, instruction and good sportsmanship are valued over performance so that all campers are equipped with the skills and confidence to be able to play sports and enjoy the experience.
Camp provides a wonderful opportunity for staff to develop valuable experience for a coaching or teaching profession. We take great pride in the quality of our athletic facilities.
There is nothing more exciting than spending warm, sunny days outdoors at the pool and getting paid! Quality instruction is offered in swimming for our campers. As a swim instructor, you are responsible for providing individual and small group instruction and running a safe, well-maintained activity. (Training certification is provided during staff orientation.)
If you want to spend time in the great outdoors, explore, have adventures, and enjoy working with kids, consider working as an adventure specialist which includes working at our High Ropes Course, Archery, Nature and Outdoor Education! You’ll have ample opportunity to build your outdoor rec skills while you teach our campers. Summer camp provides children with safe opportunities to take risks while they try new activities like hiking or climbing. (Ropes Course Training certification is provided during staff orientation.)
Our creative arts instructors are responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of their particular activity. They create a fun and inviting environment where kids love to come and be creative.
As a creative arts specialist, you will be instructing kids ages 3 – 15, maintaining an organized and inviting studio environment, and accommodating the many and varied needs of summer camp that involve artistic assistance which can include special events and plays.
Our camps offer a general Arts & Crafts activity where you will be instructing in a variety of media along with specialists in Ceramics, Jewelry Making, and Digital Arts. We also have specialists leading our STEM and Mad Science activities.
Office staff are needed to help in the camp offices. All staff must possess basic office and computer skills.
